Temporary administrator rights
01What is Eleve Admin?
Eleve Admin helps IT teams manage temporary local administrator rights, application installation requests and selected actions on Windows workstations from a tenant panel.
02Does an employee need permanent administrator rights to complete a task?
No. An employee can request administrator rights for a specified period. A tenant administrator reviews the request and decides whether to grant access and for how long.
03How does an employee request temporary administrator rights?
The employee submits a request explaining why the rights are needed. The request is sent to the tenant administrators.
04What happens when a request is approved or rejected?
The employee receives a notification of the decision. An administrator can approve access for a set period or reject the request with a comment.
05Do the rights become active immediately after approval?
After approval, the employee must sign out and sign back in for the new rights to become active in their Windows session.
06What happens when temporary rights expire?
The user sees a countdown warning five minutes before expiry. After the session ends and the user signs back in, the temporary administrator rights are no longer available.
07Can an administrator review what happened during a session?
Yes. The panel provides session history and recorded actions, including information about installed or removed applications. See the example session history.

10What does device inventory show?
The Inventory panel provides a full inventory of hardware and software on Windows workstations. Administrators can find a computer and check its status, agent version and last activity. Explore Inventory.

Tenant panel, messages and audit
11Where do administrators sign in?
Administrators use the shared sign-in page at eu1.jitadmin.com/login. A “Sign in” button is also available on the JiT Admin website.
12Can an administrator send a message and check whether it was read?
Yes. An administrator can send a message from the tenant panel. The user must acknowledge that they have read it. The message record stores who acknowledged it and the date and time of acknowledgement.
13What sign-in security settings does Eleve Admin provide?
The tenant panel includes settings for sign-in methods, passwords, multi-factor authentication, sessions and access recovery. It also shows the status of individual settings, so administrators can distinguish active options from planned features.
14What can administrators review in the audit log?
The audit log shows events related to areas such as security, administrator actions, devices and the agent. Administrators can filter entries by date, category, user or computer and export the results to a CSV file. Explore the audit trail.
